Scope and Contents
Reproduction of the medal that was awarded to Roald Amundsen on January 21, 1927 by the American Scenic and Historic Preservation Society and the American Museum of Natural History. It was to commemorate the Polar flight in 1925 and the Transpolar flight in the dirigible "Norge" on 1926. The original medal was made by Tiffany and Co., and it was donated to the American Museum of Natural History on Septemeber 9, 1972.
