Some general subject headings are noted in pencil on the outside of the boxes, such as Lepidoptera, Entomology, Zoological nomenclature and Carnegie [Institute]. Correspondents include F. Martin Brown, Jeane D. Gunder, Alexander B. Klots and Charles Lee Remington.

The second group of 9 boxes is unprocessed material. A bibliography of Brown's publications is filed with the collection.

Correspondent is replying to an earlier letter from Dietz. He says that he is low on beetles, but has a larger number of Lepidoptera available and offers to send them.
