Nine identical coins mounted on a slip of paper. The coins were issued on April 29, 1993, by Banka Slovenije.
The centre of the obverse of the coin depicts a proteus, with the Latin name "Proteus anguinus" written below it, and the nominal value, expressed in numbers, above it. Richard Archbold, AMNH research associate in mammalogy, organized this six-month-long expedition to collect all the elements for an Arizona group for the museum's Hall of North American Mammals.
