Scope and Contents

This series consists of materials related to Gaffney's activities at the American Museum of Natural History, administrative materials related to Gaffney's museum employment, and materials related to the institution's collections and history. Also included are materials related to Gaffney's professional activities including Society of Vertebrate Paleontology conferences, National Science Foundation grant applications, and peer reviews of publications and grants. Of special interest are the extensive documentation of the multiyear renovation of the fossil halls on the fourth floor of the museum. This documentation includes correspondence, planning, and photographs.
