Series I: Bound Journals and Letters
Scope and Contents
This series consists of transcribed journals and letters of WSSE participants. The volumes in this series were bound by author and arranged chronologically between 1985 and 1990. Most of the volumes contain additional material interleaved or laid into the front or back covers. The transcripts and additional material include correspondence, relevant period newspaper clippings and obituaries, photographs, postcards, magazine clippings and brochures, color and black and white specimen and habitat drawings, and hand-drawn maps, many of which are attributed to their creator. Subjects largely cover the expedition activities, the localities and the participants.
