American zoologist and anatomist. Field representative and then Curator of the Dept. of Comparative Anatomy at the American Museum of Natural History. Joined expeditions to Australia, Greenland and Africa. Renowned for his anatomical studies of humans and other primates.

General Note
Consists of 2 notebooks on the anatomy of the gorilla (begun ca. 1936) and 2 loose-leaf binders containing notes taken during W.K. Gregory's mammalogy classes at Columbia University (held at the American Museum of Natural History), probably in 1913/14 and 1939/40. Also included are 52 sheets of notes and sketches on the anatomy of various mammals. Some of the ill. are partially colored.
