Biographical sketch

Charles M. Breder was an ichthyologist at the American Museum of Natural History. Breder was research associate at the AMNH 1926-, and chairman and curator, Dept. of Ichthyology, 1944-1965. He was also at the New York Aquarium, 1921- ; director, 1940-1943.
