Depicts a wildcat walking to left on bare brown ground, snarling. Felis Lynx rutus. Light blue hills in background. Inscription: On label pasted to back "Original watercolor of the Common American Wildcat by John James Audubon about 1843 or earlier/M.R. Audubon". Gold wood frame, matted, glazed, 2 13/16 wide.
