Anteater, 2 cards
Scope and Contents
This series consists of photographs and picture clippings related to the preparation, creation and maintenance of the North American Hall of Mammals. This Hall represents the research and findings of more than twenty-five Museum expeditions of North America. James Perry Wilson (1889-1976) painted the backgrounds for many of the dioramas at the Museum, including those in the Hall of North American Mammals. Along with James L. Clark, Wilson designed and constructed dioramas of more active depictions of these animals. This Hall is currently part of the permanent exhibition.
