Scope and Contents

From the Series:

This series consists of picture clippings and photographs related to the preparation and creation of the Akeley Hall of African Mammals. Cark Akeley traveled many times to Africa, embarking on three expeditions for the creation of the African Hall. After Akeley’s death, Clark continued his work on the African Hall of Mammals.

Note: Ostrich and Vulture, despite being birds, are organized under the Mammals section because these birds are featured as a life group within the African environment.
