Mammals- Carnivora: B
Scope and Contents
This series consists of picture clippings, newspaper spreads, and magazine articles documenting various members of the Animal Kingdom. The series is divided further into five Sub Series that include Mammals, Herpetology, Invertebrates, Birds, and Fish. The majority of the clippings date from between the years 1920 and 1940. The picture clippings and articles are most often glued directly upon the file folders—both front and back—with most of their original published captions intact. There are also some files that show fold-out articles. Many of the clippings were from the New York Times Picture Section and The Illustrated London News.
