This series contains 106 objects, which include a variety of photographic processes. The majority are either albertypes or salt prints. There are two types of photographs that can be distinguished as of interest to T.R Peale. The first would be landscapes/urban scenes. Many of these are of Washington D.C. where Titian Peale lived and worked in the latter half of his life. There are also scenes from the American countryside and other towns in the United States and England. A few of these landscape scenes are signed by Coleman Sellers, Peale’s nephew and fellow member of the Amateur Photographic Exchange Club. T.R. Peale also was interested in photographing portraits/figures, particularly of his own family from the latter half of his life. There are also photographs of friends and unidentified figures, who may have acted as models.
