Scope and Contents

Correspondence regarding the funds transferred by Adelaide Howard Childs Frick, Childs Frick's mother, to the museum in 1920.

Also contains correspondence regarding Frick's financing Barnum Brown's expedition in India and other financial contributions by Childs Frick of other departmental expeditions.

Correspondence regarding Childs Frick and his employees borrowing of Department's specimens, discussions of storage space for fossils.

There is extensive correspondence between museum administration and Childs Frick that attempted to describe and formalize the relationship beetween AMNH and Frick Corporation (1935-1937). There is also follow up correspondence discussing rebuilding spaces within the museum that were assigned to the Frick Laboratory from 1938-1939.

Correspondence regarding boxes of specimens sent to Roslyn Laboratory.
