Scope and Contents

Correspondence between Thomson and Granger. Includes correspondence between Granger and Childs Frick regarding financing the expedition.

Correspondence from 1938 and 1939 includes list of expenses. Correspondence from 1939 includes a permit to collect fossils near Badlands National Monument as well as a list of specimens collected.

There is no correspondence for 1940.

Correspondence from 1941 includes letter from Thomson(?) to National Park Services regarding the expedition and permission to excavate for fossils and the response sent to Roy Chapman Andrews with the permission. Also included correspondence between Thomson and Granger. There are also telegrams announcing Granger's sudden death in the field.
