Scope and Contents

Correspondence from 1946 contains notes about contacts in Guatemala, letter from Edgar H. Stapper, U.S. Representative of Progreso Industrial De Mexico, S.A. to Guatemalan Council, informing the latter that Brown was working for Stapper. Handwritten notes on locations and maps. Letter from Frank E. Egler of theChicle Development Company to Minister of Argiculture in Guatemala regarding Brown's activities. Letter to Brown from AMNH Department of Fishes and Aquatic Biology seeking information on fish in Guatemala.

Correspondence from 1947, 1948, and 1949 includes letters between Brown and Louis Monaco, Rachel Nichols (Husband), Simpson, Colbert.

1950 correspondence includes letters between Brown, Colbert and Simpson regarding assignment of research projects in the department. Also included is the list of fossils collected from Rio de la Pasion, Peten, Guatemala and list of expenses.

1951 correspondence includes letters between Brown and Rachel Nichols (Husband) and a letter from Dorothy E. Melendez to Brown.

1952 includes correspondence between Brown and Rachel Nichols (Husband) and Colbert. Inluded correspondence regarding fossils sent by Brown to AMNH as well as captions for photographs (not included).

1953 correspondence includes letters regarding fossils that Brown sent to AMNH between Brown and Simpson, Brooks F. Ellis. Also letters regarding 7 boxes of fossils sent by Brown to AMMH in 1953 with the list of box contents.
