Contains correspondence between Brown and Matthew, Osborn. Includes correspondence regarding permission to excavate for fossils from 1923 and 1924, this correspondence includes letter from Osborn to the Secretary of State in Washington, D.C., and letter from the U.S. Legation in Athens to Brown. Included is a letter from Matthew to Sherwood with suggestions on ways to honor Greek individuals who helped Brown.
Also includes letters regarding refugees who were housed by Brown and who employed them to excavate the fossils. Correspondence from 1924 includes list of fossils excavated.Dates
