Scope and Contents

Correspondence between Thomson and Matthew, Osborn, Brown, Granger. Includes reports on the expedition from 1921, 1922, and 1923.

Includes list of estimated expenses for 1923. The 1923 report includes location sketch. Also included is correspondence between Matthew and Osborn regarding the locality and history of work there.

There was no work done in Nebraska in 1924.

Correspondence for 1925 includes estimate of expenses. It also includes information about a visit from Professor Othenio Abel as well as a letter from Abel to Osborn. There is also correspondence regarding buying or leasing land around Olcott Hill. Also includes information on buying and using compressed air equipment in the field. Some letters discuss finding of evidence of early tools used by humans. Includes hand drawn illustrations, as well as black and white photographs. Also includes a letter from Harold Cook to Osborn giving Cook's opinion on Thomson's finds. Also includes the report for year 1925.

Correspondence for 1926 includes estimate of expenses and report for 1926.

Correspondence for 1927 includes 4 black and white photographs as well as a list of fossils left at Harrison by Paul Miller that Thomson was to pick up, report of season and the list of expenses, and a list of fossils.
