Philip Alexius Laszlo de Lombos was a Hungarian portrait painter. Laszlo's portrait of Theodore Roosevelt was gifted to the New York State Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Committeee of the AMNH by Lord Lee of Fareham. During Richard Nixon's presidency, the AMNH loaned the painting to the White House
