Cylinder record player, 1934-1935
Scope and Contents
Cylinder record player used by Otto Nordenskjold in the 1902-1903 Swedish expedition to Snow Hill Island and abandoned in 1903 when he quickly had to leave his hut after being rescued by an Argentine rescue crew from Paulet Island, Antarctica. Found by Lincoln Ellsworth in the 1934-1935 Antarctic expedition.

Cylinder record player with a wooden base, composed of parts possibly made of brass and aluminum. Two wax cylinders are included. It has four separate pieces.
