Muralist

William S. Taylor was an artist who created murals for the American Museum of Natural History. In 1909, Taylor accompanied Harlan I. Smith on the Jesup North Pacific Expedition (1897-1903) to make color studies for mural paintings to represent the North Pacific Indians. Taylor made nineteen murals for the Hall of Northwest Coast Indians and three murals on the evolution of man
