Summary

"Apatosaurus Revisited" illustrated how new research about dinosaur evolution changed scientists' view of what the skull of Apatosaurus (formerly known as Brontosaurus) looked like. On view were casts of dinosaur skulls from three different species: a likely Apatosaurus skull known as the Jensen quarry skull, a Camarasaurus skull and a Diplodocus skull along with an evolutionary diagram to illustrate the changing views about the Apatosaurus skull. The exhibition, an Arthur Ross Exhibit of the Month, was on view in the New York State Roosevelt Memoria at the American Museum of Natural History from August 15 through the end of October, 1989.
