Summary

"Trash Can Toys and Game" examined some of the results of the book of the same title by Yale-trained architect Leonard Todd. The experiments featured in the exhibition included a space station built from a system of delicatessen containers and disposable coffee cup tops, a tin can castle with balconies made from half pint ice cream containers, and games children can learn to make from throw-away items easily found around the house. Part of the exhibition was on view in the Hall of Birds of the World and another part was on view in the People Center on the second floor of the Museum from May 22 through September, 1975.
