Summary
"Theodore Roosevelt" featured books, manuscripts, original cartoons, photographs, diaries, letters and other memorabilia related to the life of Theodore Roosevelt. Roosevelt's various roles as president, author, naturalist, conservationist, explorer, statesman and family man were depicted. Honored guests, including city officials and members of the Roosevelt family, were welcomed by A. Perry Osborn, vice president of the Museum at the exhibition's opening. The exhibition, presented jointly by the New York State Theodore Roosevelt Committee and the Museum, was on view in the Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Hall at the American Museum of Natural History from November 23, 1948 until March 1, 1949.
