Summary

"Have you ever seen....The Knockout Fist of Joe Louis?" featured a plastic cast of the clenched right fist of Joe Louis and a modeled head on impact. It coincided with the heavy-weight title bout between Joe Louis and Billy Conn. Also shown were casts of the fists of ten other famous champions of the prize ring. The casts were provided by Dr. Walter Jacobs, a dentist, who made plastic casts of prize-fighters fists as a hobby. The collection was on exhibit in the Comparative Anatomy Hall at the American Museum of Natural History for several weeks starting on June 8, 1946
