Summary

The Star Trek Exhibition was a retrospective of Paramount Pictures' original television series, curated by the National Air and Space Museum at the Smithsonian Institution. The exhibition featured original costumes, models, assorted props, photographs, and other memorabilia from the series (1, p. 8). In conjunction with the exhibition, the Hayden Planetarium's Sky Theater presented a show created by the Museum of Science and Industry in Portland, Oregon: Orion Rendezvous: A Star Trek & Voyage of Discovery, which, featuring the voice of LaVar Burton as Commander Geordi LaForge, transformed the Theater into a Federation Starship and used a new laser graphics system.
