Exhibition. Opened in January 25, 1983 and closed May 15, 1983. Located in Section 12, Floor 2 in the Roosevelt Rotunda at the American Museum of Natural History. "New Frontier of Life" was an exhibition that was shown in conjunction with two other related exhibitions at the Museum: "Deep Ocean Photography" and "Exploring the Deep Frontier: The Adventure of Man in the Sea."

Summary

"New Frontier of Life" was an exhibition that was shown in conjunction with two other related exhibitions at the Museum: "Deep Ocean Photography" and "Exploring the Deep Frontier: The Adventure of Man in the Sea." The exhibit, "New Frontier of Life," showed the life forms around deep ocean rifts where no sun penetrates, water temperatures sometimes reach 700 degrees Fahrenheit and worms can grow to five feet. An Arthur Ross Exhibit of the Month, the exhibit was on view in the Roosevelt Rotunda of the American Museum of Natural History from January 25 through May 15, 1983.
