Exhibition. Opened in March 20,1974 and closed May 23, 1974. Located in Section 1A, Floor 1 in Gallery 77 at the American Museum of Natural History. "Birds in the Wood" was an exhibition of carved wooden birds by Gilbert Maggioni and Grainger McKoy.

Summary

"Birds in the Wood" was an exhibition of carved wooden birds by Gilbert Maggioni and Grainger McKoy. The exhibit featured nine large cases each displaying realistic woodcarvings of shore birds, waders, birds of prey, waterfowl and gamebirds characteristic of South Carolina's coastal inlets and marshes. The carvings were on view in Gallery 77 of the American Museum of Natural History from March 20 through May 23, 1974.
