Summary
"Coming Attraction--Comet Kohoutek" was an exhibition explaining in simple detail the presumed origins and travels of the Kohoutek Comet that had been newly discovered at that time. Hailed as the comet of the century, it was due to be visible from earth during the winter for the first time in a million and a half years. The exhibit was on view in the Roosevelt Rotunda at the American Museum of Natural History from the beginning of November, 1973 through January 21, 1974. A portion of the Christmas 1973 sky show at The American Museum-Hayden Planetarium also dealt with Comet Kohoutek.
