"Bird carvings by Charles Greenough Chase" was an exhibition of carvings expressing the individual character of each bird as adapted to the medium of walnut, mahogany, maple and apple wood.

"Bird carvings by Charles Greenough Chase" was an exhibition of carvings expressing the individual character of each bird as adapted to the medium of walnut, mahogany, maple and apple wood. More than 20 different species of American birds were represented among the more that 40 pieces of wood sculpture presented. The carvings were on view in the Roosevelt Memorial Hall of the American Museum of Natural History from December 2, 1949 through January 22, 1950.
