This collection is comprised of eight folders containing clippings from magazines and newspapers, typed announcements and articles, some correspondence, and various ephemera that highlight moments in Robert Cushman Murphy’s life and his association with AMNH. The collection was transferred from the AMNH Office of Public Affairs. The contents of all folders are chronologically ordered.

Scope and Content
The collection consists of 101 letters (handwritten and typewritten), 14 cards and seven photographs received by Schwarz between the years 1921 and 1957, and the incomplete typescript of Stingless Bees. Many of the letters thank Schwarz for his book (Stingless bees), which he distributed to entomologists around the world. Others are responses to Schwarz's Christmas cards.
