Portraits of six members of the 1821-1822 Native American delegation to Washington, DC. Probably copies of paintings by Charles Bird King lost in the 1865 Smithsonian fire. "These paintings are by neither Seymour nor King." Cf. note by William Sturtevant, Smithsonian Institution, May 1970. Caption and date handwritten on verso of each painting.
