Daily observations, field notes and letters written by Drowne during his time as a physician, researcher, and collector for the Whitney South Sea Expedition. Drowne and his team collected specimens from various islands, including the Solomon Islands, New Hebrides, and Papua New Guinea. v. 1. Oct. 22, 1926-Nov. 4, 1927 -- v. 2. Nov. 4, 1927-Mar. 30. 1928.
