Materials found behind dioramas in the Akeley Hall of African Mammals (2 of 3), circa 1937-1942
Two cans found behind the Upper Nile River diorama, in the Akeley Hall of African Mammals, that were used during their preparation and, most likely, upkeeping possibly between 1937 and 1942. One of them is a Best-Test Paper Cement can, made by Union Rubber and Asbestos Co., and the other is a can of Clover Brand’s rectified turpentine produced by Schneider and Co., Inc.
