Biographical / Historical
The National Center for Science Literacy, Education, and Technology (NCSLET) was established in 1997 as an initiative of the AMNH Department of Education. It was put in motion with “the express mission of extending the Museum’s educational reach beyond its walls and local community” (AMNH Annual Report, 1998-1999) through an integration of science, education and technology. NCSLET achieves this through innovative programming making use of the AMNH’s vast scientific collections and resources.
