Biographical sketch

Davis was an American landscape artist, who painted extensively in Canada, Alaska and the west coast. He left hundreds of paintings at the American Museum of Natural History and it took the Museum many years to return the majority of them, to his heirs. Davis was born in Winchendon, Mass. and died in Tarzana, Calif.
