Scope and Contents
Byron and Verna Stone's travel photographs taken around the world of people, landscapes, temples, street scenes, markets, and architecture. 452. Kenya, Canada, Papua New Guinea, Ecuador, Galapagos, California, Hawaii, Australia, Wyoming, Colorado, Arizona, Utah, Switzerland, Germany, Yugoslavia, Austria, and Egypt (1968-1975). Subjects include native people in Papua New Guinea, Braniff Airline Accident, and national parks in the United States. 453-462. India, Nepal and Tibet (circa 1969). Photographs taken mostly in India. Subjects include a Batku family, Bhadghon, Bodhnath, a Tibetan camp in Nepal, Fatan Square, Mysore (Karnataka), Chamundi Temple, Calcutta, Srinagar, Galmar, Hazrathbal Mosque, Nashit gardens, Bombay, Kumbarwada, fishing industry in Udiapur, Bangalore, Madras, Banarus, Madurai, seascapes from Cochin and Harbor, Delhi, Rhanyair shrine, animals and visitors at Delhi Zoo, Safdarjung tomb, Red Fort in Safdarjung, and Jaipur. 463-465. Israel, Jerusalem (1972, 1976). Subjects include Church of the Annunciation, Nazareth, lighting of the candles in Acco, a kibbutz, Garden Tom, Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Dead Sea, Rachel's tomb, Jaffa Gate Mosque, Walling Wall, Billy Rose Zoo Sculpture Garden, and Kababir School. 466. Hawaii (undated). Subjects include beach scenes, flowers, ocean, and fish. 467-478. Variety of locations (circa 1960s-1974). Places include India, Morocco, New York, Saudi Arabia, France, Mexico, Spain, Hong Kong, Peru, Guadeloupe, Greece, Turkey, Curacao, Trinidad, Ecuador, and Italy. 479-480. Ecuador and Dominican Republic (1968). Subjects include a wedding ceremony, Marineland dolphins, clouds, musicians, churches, aerial photographs, mass, and a funeral procession. 481. Mostly Portugal (1962-1970). May also include photographs taken in Japan and North Africa. 484-494. Variety of locations (1961-1974). Places include Bolivia, Guatemala, Japan, Thailand, Mexico, Italy, Hong Kong, Macao, Bangkok, Taiwan, Paris, New York, Greece, Spain, Trinidad, Yucatan, Austria, Israel, Istanbul, Turkestan, England, Russia, Nova Scotia, Montreal, and Quebec. Includes the 1967 International and Universal Exposition in Montreal.
