Scope and Contents
This series consists of documents produced during or in regards to Lincoln Ellsworth’s North Pole and Antarctic expeditions between 1925 and 1939, such as diaries, flight logs, photographs, certificates, and the photo reproductions of these materials used for exhibition. Highlights for this series include the letter, in which Lincoln Elsworth claims part of Antarctica for the United states in 1939, and the log of the N-24 flight in 1925.
