Field box tracking, 1927-1980
Scope and Contents
Includes a total of seven notebooks and ledgers created and maintained by George Krochak for the Frick Laboratory to track crates of materials sent and received from the field. The first set of two notebooks record outgoing packages from the field. The second set of five notebooks record the field shipments received. Outgoing : Notebook 1, 1927-1964, Santa Fe, Nebraska, Arizona, California, Alaska, Texas, Espanolia and Notebook 2, 1960's, labelled 'Outgoing packages April 29, 1964'. Ledgers for field boxes received: Ledger 1, 1927-1934, Ledger 2, 1936-1938, Ledger 3, 1938-1942, Ledger 4, 1941-1948, Ledger 5, 1948-1980.

Biographical note
George Krochak worked for the Frick Laboratory and eventually held the position of Scientific Assistant and Registrar of the Frick Collections at the AMNH. Some of his duties included arranging the loans of specimens to/from many institutions and keeping the records in order. A specimen titled Paramerycoidodon georgei was named after him.
