Daily observations and specimen notes from Bryan's 10 month-stint with the Whitney South Sea expedition on behalf of the Bishop Museum February to October in 1924. Bryan's notes mention various islands visited, including the Cook Islands, American Samoa and Fiji. His foreword states that this typescript contains some spelling errors due to typist unfamiliarity with proper scientific and geographic nomenclature.

Scope and Contents This collection contains bound volumes, notes, correspondence, photographs, log books and journals. The material has been arranged into three series. The collection is largely comprised of thirty-three Bound Volumes (Series I) that contain letters and journal entries written by the field researchers that participated in the Whitney South Sea Expedition.
