Historical Note
The Roosevelt Elkhorn Ranch diorama is located on the first floor of the New York State Roosevelt Memorial at the American Museum of Natural History. It depicts Theodore Roosevelt's personal ranch in North Dakota where he spent many years as a ranchman.(1, p.2) Opened to the public in 1938, it includes two taxidermy Pronghorn and a bison skull that was collected on site in North Dakota.(2)
