Exhibition. Opened July 30, 1993 and closed January 1994. Located in the Grand Gallery at the American Museum of Natural History. "Celestial Fender Bender: The Peekskill Meteorite" featured the meteorite which crashed to earth in October 1992 destroying the trunk of a car.

Summary

"Celestial Fender Bender: The Peekskill Meteorite" featured the meteorite which crashed to earth in October 1992 destroying the trunk of a car. Both the meteorite and the 1981 Chevy Malibu were on view. The exhibition examined the nature of meteorites, how they enter our atmosphere, and where they come from. Itwas on view in the 77th Street Lobby of the American Museum of Natural History from July 30, 1993 through January 1994.
