Exhibition. Opened on May 17, 1949 and closed on June 5, 1949. Located in Section 12, Floor 1 in the Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Hall at the American Museum of Natural History. The First Annual Photographic Exhibit of the New York Entomological Society featured seventy photographs of insects by amateur and professional members of the Society.

The First Annual Photographic Exhibit of the New York Entomological Society featured seventy photographs of insects by amateur and professional members of the Society. Contributors included Edwin Way Teale, Cyril F. Dos Passos, Dr. Roman Vishniac, Jose Oiticica of the National Museum in Rio de Janeiro, and Dr. Theodore Schneirla, curator of Museum's Department of Animal Behavior and president of the New York Entomological Society (1).
