Exhibition. Opened February 3, 1941 and closed February 27, 1941. Located in the Education Hall at the American Museum of Natural History. "Camera Studies of Life of Southwest Indians: 'Indian Country'" featured a collection of about 100 camera studies of life among the Southwest Indians taken by Frank Kellogg.

Summary

"Camera Studies of Life of Southwest Indians: 'Indian Country'" featured a collection of about 100 camera studies of life among the Southwest Indians taken by Frank Kellogg. Kellogg and his wife spent most of 22 years living among the Indians in their villages. Among the subjects were members of many tribes including the Rio Grandes, Hopis, Navajos, Apaches and Pueblos. The exhibition showed a cross section of everyday life, arts and crafts, ceremonials, portraits and landscapes. The exhibition was located in the Education Hall at the American Museum of Natural History for two weeks starting February 3, 1941.
