Exhibition. Opened in May 1975 and closed some time in the same year. Located in the Environmental Information Desk at the American Museum of Natural History. "Cans From A Pressured City" was an exhibition featuring the work of Joe Sedacca, manager of the Museum's Graphics Division, who transformed the squashed cans he found on the streets of New York into small works of art.

Summary

"Cans From A Pressured City" was an exhibition featuring the work of Joe Sedacca, manager of the Museum's Graphics Division, who transformed the squashed cans he found on the streets of New York into small works of art. After visualizing a figure, Mr. Sedacca coated the front surface with white paint and then painted the face and clothes in bright colors. This "Museum Showcase Exhibit", funded by the Arthur Ross Foundation, was on view at the Environmental Information Desk (2nd floor) of the American Museum of Natural History starting in May, 1975.
