Summary
"Museum Treasures in Needlepoint" was an exhibition of needlepoint designs inspired by the Museum's American Indian artifacts. Mrs. Nora F.Cammann, a native New Yorker, designed needlepoint on pillows, slippers, stools belts and other household and personal items which were displayed next to the artifacts which inspired their creation. Charles Scribner's Son published Mrs. Cammann's book, "Needlepoint Designs from American Indian Art" to coincide with the opening of the exhibition. The exhibit was on view in Gallery 77 of the American Museum of Natural History from September 13 through December 31, 1973.
