Summary
The Career of Charles R. Knight exhibited the artist's work throughout his career in various forms. The exhibition was curated by Edwin H. Colbert, who collaborated with the Department of Exhibition. Some bronzes, paintings, charcoal and pencil sketches were loaned by Charles R. Knight's daughter, Lucy Hardcastle Knight (Mrs. Richard Steel in Museum documentation) and the Norton Galleries in New York City (1, p. 1-3; 2, p. 52). The exhibition featured Knight's early work in photographs, sketches, paintings, and excerpts from his unpublished autobiography. Other sections were arranged by the animals he drew, painted, and sculpted (1, p. 1-3).
