Exhibition. Located on Floor 1, West Corridor. On display in 1927. "Chromosphere of the Sun: Paintings by Howard Russel Butler" was an exhibition displaying a series of oil paintings by Howard Russel Butler illustrating the magnificent prominence of the chromosphere of the sun highlighting three solar eclipses as well as the lunar landscape and the Aurora Borealis. It was held in the Pro-Astronomic Hall at the American Museum of Natural History.
