Summary
The exhibition of the Metropolitan Sewage Commission was a joint exhibition with the Metropolitan Sewage Commission and the Museum's Department of Public Health. The exhibition, curated by C-E. A. Winslow, illustrated the problems connected with the pollution of New York Harbor and practical methods for the disposal of city wastes (1, p. 63).

President of the Museum, Henry Fairfield Osborn, Dr. G.A. Soper of the Metropolitan Sewage Commission, Dock Commissioner Tompkins, Dr. H.W. Wiley of the United States Bureau of Chemistry, and C-E. A. Winslow made opening addresses on May 15. Special lectures were given to 1,200 New York city high school students on June 16 (1, p. 63; 2, p. 151).
