Abstract

Contains documents regarding planning the construction and operation of the original Hayden Planetarium, including reports on financing and estimated costs made by The American Museum of Natural History Planetarium Authority, New York State and the City of New York laws and deed documents created to authorize the planetarium construction.

Abstract Contains financial records and public relations materials, mostly from the late 1970s. Financial records include requisitions, receipts, and statements for payroll, utilities, supplies, as well as printing and photography services for the museum. Public relations materials include press releases, mounted press clippings about exhibitions and events, including three folders on an exhibition about the creation of a replica dinosaur skeleton titled "The Making of a Dinosaur."
