Department of Invertebrate Zoology wasp nest image collection
Scope and Contents
This collection is made up of 25 disks that were generated to document the wasp nest collection of the Division of Invertebrate Zoology. This collection received funding under National Science Foundation Grant DBI-0446968: “Curation of the wasp nest collection of the American Museum of Natural History”, 2005-2007 to re-house the collection and create a digital database with photographs that would be available to both researchers and the general public. The disks include photographs documenting pre-grant conditions in the collection, conservation treatments before/after [restricted], examples of re-housing, and master photographs of each nest in the collection.
